Samphire restaurant

My dream of opening and running a restaurant in Hale began in the mid-nineties. I'd worked in the area as a quantity surveyor for seven years and had fallen for it's charm, it's people and it's buildings - especially the old station. Such was the pull that I moved from London to be here - opening the Station Cafe Bar - then reincarnated as Nectar Restaurant and now finally renamed Samphire.

I've always been passionate about food and from the very beginning this passion has been part of everything we do in the restaurant. I wanted to use fresh, locally produced ingredients - ensuring higher quality dishes and lending support to the local economy.
All too often food is stored, transported and processed before arriving on your plate, not at Samphire.

You'll be surprised at how good ‘real food’ tastes and, like me, you'll never look back.
